Good girl!
Good boy!
These words tend to find a way out of our mouths, even if we try really hard not to use those expressions. If it’s not from us, it is usually heard in public places or with other family members.

Now meet the Good Egg. He’s good. Very good. So good that all the bad things the other eggs do, he takes upon himself to make it good again. Every day, the same. Pressure takes a toll. And then… he cracks.
Literaly.
He was so convinced that he was good, even very good, that he taught he (and things!) had to be perfect. Once he cracks, he decides that enough is enough. He leaves his egg carton and all his friends, ready for a self-care journey. When he returns, he won’t be the same.

The Good Egg is a wonderful book that helps us remind our little one(s) that no one has to be perfect. That the pressure that we put upon ourselves to be good (and/or perfect) will eventually make us crack. The book reminds us of the importance of self-care.
But, mostly, that NOT being perfect is OK.
A definite must-read!
